The Hotel Villa Riis is a baroque style hotel set on a cliffside overlooking Taormina Bay, 20 metres from the main pedestrianised avenue Corso Umberto. This four floor property features 44 air conditioned guestrooms traditionally decorated in pastel shades with parquet floors, white and gold baroque style furnishings and satin quilts. Rooms extend to balconies facing the bay and have marble bathrooms embellished with mosaics. Amenities include televisions, direct dial phones, safes, hair dryers and minibars.
Guests can start the day with a buffet breakfast on the terrace overlooking the Bay of Taormina towards Mount Etna. The neoclassical design of the hotel is expressed in the tranquil Baroque hall with its high ceiling, marble floor and antique style furnishings where guests can read a holiday book or just relax. Sun worshippers can bronze on the cliff side terrace and take a dip in the swimming pool or enjoy a cool drink in the bar. Health conscious guests can work out in the fitness room. Sporty guests can enjoy access to the grass tennis courts set next to the swimming pool. The hotel is just 20 metres from the port and a 15 minute walk from the cable car which takes guests down to the beach below. Catania Fontanarossa Airport is 80 kilometres from the hotel with an approximate driving time of 70 minutes.

Taxis are available from outside the arrivals terminal and cost approximately 80 EUR to the hotel. A bus service also runs from the airport to Taormina. The nearest train station is Taormina Giardini Naxos, 2.5 kilometres from the hotel. Car rentals are available online. All prices are subject to change. The city of Taormina can be comfortably explored on foot. Guests arriving by car will find free car parking on site.
Driving directions: From the airport Take highway A18 towards Messina / Catania. Exit at Taormina. Follow directions for the city centre and the signs for Hotel Villa Riis. After the multi storey car park, Lumbi, and turn right entering the tunnel Monte Tauro. After the exit follow directions for the town centre. The hotel is situated 20 metres on the right before the port.
