Housed in a restored 17th century palace, The Hotel Colombina is a canal side hotel located in the centre of Venice, overlooking the Rio di Palazzo and only 100 metres from St Mark's Square. The 35 air conditioned guestrooms feature Venetian style decor with marble floors. All include satellite TV with pay movies, direct dial phones, desks with Internet access, safes and minibars.
Staff at the 24 hour front desk can provide information about sight seeing in Venice from gondola rides to tours and concerts. Each morning the hotel provides breakfast services to start off the day. From the airport it is a short journey on the free shuttle bus to the Marina/Darsena then guests should catch a water taxi or the public waterbus Alilaguna. Typical taxi fare is �90 and the hotel has its own private water landing. Waterbus lines 1 or 82 in the direction Rialto Vallaresso go to Vallaresso (San Marco) waterbus station, 200 metres from the hotel. The easiest way to get around Venice is on foot, by vaporetto (public water bus) or water taxi.
Arriving to Venice by car you can choose to park either in the two main garages (Autorimessa Comunale or Garage San Marco) in Piazzale Roma or in the Garage dell'Isola di Tronchetto . Onward transport is available from there.
