Location. This Best Western Inn located in Santa Cruz, Calif.,is central to major city sights, within one mile of the Santa Cruz Boardwalk, Fisherman's Wharf and nearby golf courses. Downtown Santa Cruz, one mile away, is lined with shops, sidewalk cafes, antique stores and art galleries. The nearby beaches offer surfing, boating, whale watching excursions and fishing tours. Within minutes of the city are wineries with tasting rooms available by appointment.
Hotel Features.The Best Western Santa Cruz offers a complimentary continental breakfast featuring omelets and breakfast burritos. The inn offers an indoor hot tub and nearby gazebo with chairs. Other amenities include a steam room. The workout facility features cardiovascular equipment and weight machines. The inn was remodeled in 2002.
Guestrooms. All 28 guestrooms and suites on two stories are accessible via exterior corridors. Rooms are outfitted with cable/satellite television in wood armoires with premium channels and complimentary high speed Internet access. Bathrooms offer complimentary toiletries. Bedrooms have sitting chairs with ottomans. Also included are coffee/tea makers. Children under 12 can enjoy a complimentary stay when accompanied by a paying adult.
Expert Tip. The Santa Cruz Boardwalk has vintage attractions such as a wooden roller coaster and a carousel with hand carved wooden horses. Both are open daily in the summer. Also on the boardwalk is Neptune's Kingdom, a giant indoor family recreation center with a two story miniature golf course.
